The event is the culmination of an exciting partnership between Atelier Maser, OFFSET, the RHA!!
Join us for a film screening and Q&A event with Stephen Burke, taking place on Wednesday 26th June at the RHA School in Dublin.
Stephen Burke is a contemporary Irish artist living in Glasgow, Scotland. He is the next artist to exhibit at Atelier Maser, and his solo exhibition 'Utility' will launch to the public the following day in Atelier Maser.
At the RHA event, the Q&A will be hosted by Bren Byrne from Offset and Stephen will also be premiering a16min short film. Stephen created the film, titled 'Buff', alongside Irish filmmaker Sean Clarke. It is part of a larger project of the same name that investigates the painting over, or covering up of graffiti, within Dublin (also known as 'buffing'). The project has greatly informed Stephen's artistic practice, and this event will be a fantastic insight to his creative concept and process behind Stephen's art work.
Guests attending the artists talk and film screening will be added to the guest list for a special preview of Stephen's exhibition which takes place at 6pm on Thursday 27th June at Atelier Maser.
